Inner Courtyard in Belgická Street

This inner-courtyard garden was completely redesigned. It began with extensive preparation work, which included the removal of over-aged, unsuitable trees and shrubs, and a dendrological survey to ascertain the best candidates for further planting.

The steps into the garden are made of exotic wood and lined with creeper plants. These will, with time, add a sense of romance to the entrance and, importantly, screen off the conservatories on either side.

The investor’s main requirement was to enhance the garden by plants which would thrive in the shade of the mature trees. Hence the large proportion of evergreens and perennials, which will fill the garden with vitality and colour all year round.
